Hello and welcome to my new video game and often ramblings of madness blog.
For those of you who do not know me which I assume is a lot, I am Sarah Doherty a video game enthusiast and all round journalist from Ireland. Some of you may know me from Noobfeed or my interviews with some of the industries most loved or even interviews with some of your favourite YouTubers.
After some time of writing for many different publications I have decided that it is time for me to branch out and take on this world by myself. Like the first time exposed to the vast land in fallout I am scared and cold (probably more to do with the weather here in Ireland).
I will be bringing you column and features pieces about everything gaming and geek culture related.
Why should you trust me you don’t even know me? Why should you spend time reading this strange potato loving Irish woman’s blog? Well here is a little profile on me so you can get to know me a little better:
As you know already my name is Sarah I am twenty four and by day I am your everyday sales assistant and by night I am a geeky journalist currently hooked on Dragon Age Origins.
My favourite things consists of burritos, the graphic novel Saga and the film The Book of Eli.
Most importantly video games are my favourite things in the whole world, I have been obsessed from such a young age yet after so many years of pressing buttons and swearing revenge on any boss that challenges me there is only one game that stand out for me. My favourite game of all time is Final Fantasy IX.
Most people go for Final Fantasy VII or VIII. Nope not me. FFIX to me is just perfection from the look to the feel and even the music. I love how it threw us back into a steam-punk almost medieval time where instead of hustling down the road in my motorbike I was breezing through the sky on my airship. FFIX is a love story but a pretty dark love story. Well not get too into FFIX at the moment but there is where my real love began for this fantastic industry.
That’s enough about me but I hope you enjoy my future entries and don’t bore you all too much with my rambling.
Thanks to everyone who has supported during my time at past websites and publications it has been awesome working with you!
